THE COUCH DEMOS Recorded at Studio Couch, Fremantle. These demo's were quick live run through's of new tracks being considered for album recordings. These are presented in their original form with no mixing or mastering. Many of the demos had major changes to lyrics and arrangement by the time the final recordings were made.

Devil Running features a heavier sound in the chorus, especially in this demo. Listen closely for Johns distortion pedal being clicked on before the chorus and the idea for the ending chords. For the final recording at Sing Sing in June, John added a layer of guitar to the chorus using a Fender Telecaster - the first electric guitar used by John on a recording. Additional over-dubs like didgeridoo, tablas and backing vocals are also present on the final version recorded.
