It’s back! After the huge success of the first ever rage FIFTY last year, you are once again getting the chance to vote for your absolute favourite video clips of 2010!

Videos that can be voted for in the rage FIFTY this year are all new clips received from November 11th 2009 to the 6th November 2010.

An update to the recent cancelled Japanese shows has been announced with the 2 shows now re-scheduled for January 2011.
While in Japan, JBT will also play a new show at Club Quattro - Nagoya on January 15th.

John Butler will perform a solo set in the beautiful Sydney Botanical Gardens as part of the Aria Awards 2010 Concert Series.
Special guest DAN SULTAN will also performing!

Full performances of the iTunes Live: ARIA Awards Concert Series 2010 will be broadcast exclusively on MTV (channel 124) & MTV Hits (channel 808) at 8.00pm each night.

Headlining the 2010 Concert Series are:

Monday, 1 November – John Butler (with special guest, Dan Sultan)
Nominated in four categories for 2010, including the ARIA genre award category of BEST BLUES AND ROOTS ALBUM multiple ARIA Award winner JOHN BUTLER will make a special solo appearance performing acoustically for the iTunes Live: ARIA Awards Concert Series 2010. On the back of the Number 1 album, April Uprising, JOHN BUTLER will bring his inimitable power and passion to this very special event. Three ARIA Genre Awards will also be presented this night for: BEST HARD ROCK/HEAVY METAL ALBUM, BEST MUSIC DVD and BEST WORLD MUSIC ALBUM. Full performances of the iTunes Live: ARIA Awards Concert Series 2010 will be broadcast exclusively on MTV (channel 124) & MTV Hits (channel 808) at 8.00pm each night.A highlights package of the performances will be broadcast on Nova FM nationally at 10.00pm Monday – Thursday and as a preview to the main event, the 2010 ARIA Awards, a highlights package of the Friday performance will be broadcast on Sunday, 7 November.

Channel [V] announces Oz Artist finalists

Amy Meredith, Bliss N Eso, John Butler Trio and Short Stack are the four finalists for Channel [V]’s annual [V] Oz Artist of the year award, announced last Saturday.

The final four were chosen from a list 50 nominees after four weeks of public voting through [V]’s website, beating the likes of Angus & Julia Stone, Washington and Birds of Tokyo.

Music fans will now get to vote again for their favourite finalist through vmusic.com.au until midnight on Friday November 13. Voters go into the running for a ‘[V]IP Rock Star Weekend’ for four and the chance to hand over the trophy to this year’s victor in addition to daily prizes.

The winning artist will be announced in six weeks at a special event on November 27.

Previous winners have included Kisschasy (who took home the glory last year), Short Stack, The Veronicas and multiple winners Silverchair (who won six years in a row).

Sydney, Australia – Thursday, 14 October 2010 - With just over three weeks until the 2010 ARIA Awards take place at the iconic Sydney Opera House (Sunday, 7 November on Network Ten) voting has now opened for the four Publicly Voted ARIA Awards presented by V Energy Drink.
At 12 noon today (Thursday, 14 October), Australian music fans have the first ever opportunity to determine who will take home four Publicly Voted ARIA Awards presented by V Energy Drink.
In three of these categories - MOST POPULAR AUSTRALIAN SINGLE, MOST POPULAR AUSTRALIAN ALBUM and MOST POPULAR INTERNATIONAL ARTIST – the final nominees are based on the top selling singles and albums in the eligibility period (Friday, 28 August, 2009, to Saturday, 21 August, 2010 inclusive). The remaining category is MOST POPULAR AUSTRALIAN ARTIST and the nominees for this Award are pooled from the finalists in 26 categories of this year’s ARIA Awards (excluding ARIA Artisan Awards nominees).
The winners of these four Awards, as determined by Australian music fans, will be announced during the telecast for the 2010 ARIA Awards on Network Ten from 8.30pm on Sunday, 7 November.

Big Day Out 2011

The John Butler Trio are announced as an Australian headline act for the 2011 Big Day Out festival that travels around Australia and to New Zealand.
Other artists on the line-up include: Tool, Iggy & the Stooges, Birds of Tokyo, Blue King Brown and a lot more. The first Sydney show has already sold out with a second show announced.

The JOHN BUTLER TRIO is heading back to Australia’s Country Music Capital in January 2011 for the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
The John Butler Trio will take to the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre on Wednesday 19th January 2011. The John Butler Trio will be supported by songwriter and new festival favorite, Mama Kin with her piano boogie swamp sound!
Tickets for the concert will go on sale on Friday October 1st 2010.
