Channel [V] announces Oz Artist finalists
Amy Meredith, Bliss N Eso, John Butler Trio and Short Stack are the four finalists for Channel [V]’s annual [V] Oz Artist of the year award, announced last Saturday.The final four were chosen from a list 50 nominees after four weeks of public voting through [V]’s website, beating the likes of Angus & Julia Stone, Washington and Birds of Tokyo.
Music fans will now get to vote again for their favourite finalist through vmusic.com.au until midnight on Friday November 13. Voters go into the running for a ‘[V]IP Rock Star Weekend’ for four and the chance to hand over the trophy to this year’s victor in addition to daily prizes.
The winning artist will be announced in six weeks at a special event on November 27.
Previous winners have included Kisschasy (who took home the glory last year), Short Stack, The Veronicas and multiple winners Silverchair (who won six years in a row).
