“It’s interesting to see a band come together and the first thing they do is create and produce together. We came in as three producers, three writers, three players. We went into the laboratory to produce the best thing we could and here we are. What an interesting way to start a relationship. Personally I feel we’ve created something very special that will stand the test of time – it’s my best work to date.”
- John Butler

Greatest lyrics by any musician, i love reading them without the song playing, it's like a story and i agree with so many of the lyrics!! You are the greatest JBT!

i agree with Archibaldhino - ive only just gotten into JBT recently, and April Uprising was the first whole album i listened to, and i think its brilliant, it's so different from Grand National or Sunrise Over Sea (ive only listened to Grand National right thorugh). If they didnt change their sound at all, not only would they get bored of what they do, but so would all their fans - if you look at almost every successful band today, they've gradually changed their sound over time, and i tihnk thats what JBT are doing, and they've done a damn good job of it :)

hope you enjoyed their gig in glasgow Archabaldhino, my friends were there and they phoned me during Funky Tonight, and it osunded so cool - hope you enjoyed it :)

I was in love with the album after the 1st 3 songs…awesome! Wish I could see them live, but they never get closer than Philadelphia and it's always on a weeknight…damn, I bet they're great live.

I don't think the album is that bad at all, yeah ok it isn't the same as the old stuff. But it does have feeling, you have to remember that the man is an artist, and sometimes an artist will creat a scuplture or painting you don't agree with, in this case it's a format, style and album that maybe doesn't sound how you'd like it too. The man has a focus and a direction and is willing to create. I commend him, don't be surprised if the next album is one you feel is better than all the rest. I'm off to see him in Glasgow tomorrow and cannot wait, I have seen them every time they come and won't stop 'til they do!!
